It’s Time to Work on Your Dreams

Recently, I was scrolling on TikTok and stopped on a video of a woman speaking about dreams. Specifically, to stop making excuses and procrastinating. That we have wasted too much time talking ourselves out of our dreams. This hit me hard because I had spent the previous two days coming up with many excuses about why I couldn’t invest in a business project and how it was too hard. I was scared to grow my business and invest more due to not knowing the outcome.

After watching that video, I did some self-reflection and found that I have a pattern of sabotaging myself. When things are going well, I am waiting for something bad to happen. My fear is based on taking risks and not knowing the outcome. The truth is that I do have the resources to invest in my business project, but I was letting fear lead me. I made the decision that even if I was a little scared or anxious about doing something new, I was going to do it even if it means doing it in small steps.

I decided to share this with you because I know that I am not the only one who has talked themselves out of a dream, goal, or want. I want to tell you that your dream or dreams matter. That it’s time to work on your dreams, even if you are scared.

Invest in yourself and take the actions to make it happen. Even if you have to take small steps. And don’t forget to celebrate your progress every step of the way!
