The Printable $250 in 30 Days Savings Challenge

I love savings challenges that have small amounts. I am not a fan of savings challenges with large amounts, which is why you will rarely see me share challenges like this. I like to keep my savings goals small, but challenging. I often create savings challenges that have $100 – $500 savings goals. From my experience, these amounts make it attainable to save money.

Another feature that I like to include in my savings challenges is putting small savings amounts on the tracker. This is for one main reason. There may be times when you cannot add a lot of money to your savings challenge. I always say add a $1 to your challenge if you can, and this savings challenge lets you do that!

How to Complete the Savings Challenge

This savings challenge has a savings goal of $250. There are 30 images on the tracker with dollar amounts ranging from $1 to $16. That means that the lowest amount you will save in a day is $1 and the highest amount will be $16. I love low amounts!

Choose a day that you want to start this savings challenge and write that date in the start date section. Each day choose an image on the tracker and save that amount. Color in each image that you complete.

You will be able to see your progress and write the date that you complete the challenge. There are no rules, so even if you cannot add money to this challenge for 30 days straight, add money when you can.

What To Do If You Cannot Finish a Savings Challenge?

I have been asked this question a few times recently, so I want to include my answer in this post. The first savings challenge that I attempted to complete was the 100-envelope savings challenge. And to be honest, I HATED IT! I didn’t like how long it took to save and the savings amounts. I wasn’t able to add money to the challenge often, so I never completed it. So, what did I do?

I took the money that I saved out of that challenge and started doing savings challenges with smaller savings goals. I even created my own savings challenges (shameless plug for Butterfly Digital Co. Shop 😊).

There is no rule that you must complete each savings challenge that you start. If I find a challenge too hard or not enjoyable, I stop doing the challenge. I take the money out of that savings challenge and do one of two things: (1) put the money in a new savings challenge, or (2) Spend the money on something that I want.

Saving should be an enjoyable experience. If it is stressing you out, pause and evaluate what you need at this time. Is it a smaller savings goal? Do you need a fun way to save money? Are you burned out from saving? There is no right answer, you get to choose what is best for you.
