I decided to switch up from the mini savings challenges and fall season challenges (for now). I wanted to create a savings challenge that would challenge you all to rev up those savings! And of course, make it fun!

The Printable $500 Honey Comb Savings Challenge

This is a honeycomb and bee themed challenge. Because there wouldn’t be honey without the bees, lol. This is a color and save by number tracker, but I added some color on the challenge to inspire your coloring.

The goal of this challenge is to save $500 and there is no time limit on when this needs to be completed. I’m all about saving at a steady pace, so I wanted you to be able to save as often as you want. Before I tell you what I plan to use this challenge tracker for, I want to explain how to complete this challenge.

How to Complete the Savings Challenge

I am all about coloring because it’s one way that I relax. I created this savings challenge to be used as a color and save challenge, which allows you to color in an image each time that you save the amount on the image. There are 33 savings amounts on this tracker, with amounts ranging from $5 to $30.  

This challenge will help you to see how close you are to reaching that savings goal! Now let me share my take on this challenge.

My Spin on the $500 Honey Comb Savings Challenge!

I have become obsessed with saving $500 at a time, so I wanted to create a challenge that will help me to do this. I plan to use this challenge in a similar way to the 100 envelope savings challenge. You may have guessed it, I’m going to get crafty!

I will take 33 cash envelopes and write each of the amounts that are on the Honey Comb Savings Challenge (I will watch YouTube videos while I do this 😊). This way I can keep the money separated and finish the challenge over time. I plan to complete this challenge by the end of the year, which gives me four months to save. This is a nice simple pace if you are new to saving.

So, feel free to use this idea to create your own envelope challenge. Grab a box of white envelopes from the dollar tree and get creative! This can be done with pretty much any savings challenge. I do have several in my Free Budgeting Resource Library..

Cut Expenses or Increase Income to Save!

Now that you know how to complete the savings challenge and a fun way to use envelopes to save, let’s get to the money! I use money from my side hustles and what is unstuffed from my spending cash envelopes for my savings challenges. The goal is to find ways to cut expenses or to increase your money to save more. I like to increase my income because I can only deprive myself of so much. 😊
