I can’t believe how fast the months are flying by! GEESH. I know that we say the same thing every year, but it was just January (lol). I normally begin my summer planning in March, but I’m a bit behind this year.

I like to take road trips during the summer and ride as many roller coasters as possible! (That’s the only thrill seeking that I do, lol). That means that I need to save ahead for these trips so that I don’t swipe my credit card and go into the Fall with more debt.

Since summer is fast approaching and most of us our planning our summer vacations, I wanted to create a savings challenge that will help you to save in no time! I created the $500 Vacation Savings Challenge and I want to share it with you as a FREEBIE! To get your Free Vacation Savings Challenge, click the link below to begin the download!

Vacation Savings Challenge

The Printable $500 Vacation Savings Challenge

This vacation savings challenge is perfect for a mini vacation fund. If you need to save more just complete the challenge multiple times or double the amounts on the challenge. I do this often, especially the $100 or $200 savings challenges.

I even put some vacation ideas on the challenge just in case you have not chosen a destination. There is a theme park, beach, and tour elements on this tracker. I love to throw in these small details because they often motivate you to want to save!

How to Complete the Savings Challenge

When it comes to savings challenges, I like to keep it fun and easy! This vacation savings challenge is a color and save tracker. Meaning that each time that you save an amount color in the image. There are 20 images on this tracker, so after you have colored and saved all images the challenge will be completed!

The savings amounts range from $15 to $30. You choose how often you want to add money to your challenge. This will depend on your savings goal and the savings goal date.

If you cannot put in the total amount of an image, add what you can. Color in a portion of the image and continue to do this until you have saved the image amount. This color and save tracker will help you track how close you are to saving $500 for vacation!

Saving is a Tradeoff

Saving money does require a bit of a sacrifice or tradeoff. You may have to trade off some of your comfort now to reach your goals. When I start a savings challenge, I understand that I am taking money away from something that I want now, so that I can reach my goals at a later time. It’s the same with paying off debt, and for me now on my weight loss journey. Think about the reward, a nice vacation paid for in cash! That alone is motivation to make a few changes to your budget.

Save Money With a Friend!

I like to do savings challenges with my family because it holds me accountable. The same may work for you. Try doing this vacation savings challenge with a friend or coworker. Trust me, it’s so much fun to see each other’s progress! I love showing how I colored in my savings trackers and having that little push to follow through on my goal!
